Hi all,

What are the pro's and con's of using 8 bit a 16 bit for editing photos. And will i lose and image quality using any of them?

16 bit has twice the information of 8 bit, so the simple answer is yes you are loosing something, in practice I have never been able to see any difference, a lot of the filters won't work in 16 bit so if your doing a lot of editing and ajusting you may be better off with 8. Wayne
