Hey everyone. I am 100% new to photoshop and am looking for some advice. Green as green can be, so please go easy on me.

I want to create different words on the Words with Friends game by Zynga. I did a screen shot of a blank board, so now it's just a matter of creating the tiles and putting them in the right place.

These different words are going into a video I'm making.

I am considering trying to make it appear interactive, so it looks like I'm moving the tiles with my cursor, like in the real game. But I think that might be above my ability.

Here's what I've done so far (and am not happy with how it's looking). I grabbed a screen shot of an almost full game, so that I could copy the letters from that screen and paste them onto the blank one. I was using the (forgive me if I don't use the right words - I'm on my PC at work and am using CS5 on my mac at home) the polygonal lasso tool to copy a tile. I can't imagine this is the best way, because it's very hard to make it the same size each time.

I've watched a couple of tutorials, but I wasn't able to figure out the best way to accomplish my goal. So any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
