White border around cut out images ????

Hi I am new to Photoshop and I was hoping someone could answer this question....? When ever I cut out an image with the pen in CS2 and then use it in Flash or other programs I get a small white area around the image. Is there something I'm missing on the saving bit ??? Please can anyone help. ???
