Where s the drop shaddow in CS2 v9

I am useing cs2 v9 and cant find the drop shaddow function Red Face

It at the bottom of the layers palette, its the little FX button, you will find it under there.

Thanks , photoshop realy love hiding things.

Just one more thing as I'm moving from paint shop pro and am so used to their dropshadow system. If I placed an image on the work desk it automatically had the "marching ants" arround it from there I just selected dropshadow and it was done.

But in photoshop when I place an item/image on the work area there are no "marching ants" so when I select dropshadow nothing happens.

It sounds like you need to place objects on seperate layers (I could be confusing your problem). Drop Shadows should appear fine on objects regardless of whether they are selected or not.

To select a Layer you can Ctrl+Click on Layer Thumbnail or Ctrl+A.
