I am trying to create something similar to the attachements
Can someone please tell me what would be the best way to handle something like this? (not the backgrounds or colours but the shape)
if so can you point me in the direction of any good tutorials for this?
also is there any good tutorials for use of pens? - I am having a dreadful time using

these are probably made by tablets or professional pen tooler.. if you get tablet it would be easier. if not
make half the shape in pen tool..

its musical, still working on that

They were probably made in a vector program like Illistrator. If they were made in photoshop the pen tool was used. A good way for noobies to make cool looking things is like sowflakes when you were a kid. Mad half the image (Say left) with the pen tool. THen go to Edit > Transform> Distort> Make it transform into the other half. WALA.
