 What are the steps for using the crop tool to highlight a picture and crop the sides?

I like people that appreciate my being a student at my age of 58 years. I like to paint with oil and watercolor and I like my newfound interest in digital media, which I am making a career out of. I also like Photoshop and wish I knew more about it. |
