Normally I have used JPEG images in PS using the artistic filters like watercolors, dry brush, graphic pen, etc.

Now taking pictures in RAW. However, after making the raw adjustments and clicking on OPEN the artistic filters in PS are grayed out.

How can I use artistic filters with RAW images. Should I stick to JPEG images so I can use these filters?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi JHWenn,
Convert the open image to 8-bit (Image > Mode > 8 Bits/Channel)

Regards
