hi,
well 12 megs and 300 files that over 3 gigs....
your avg flash card is slow...!!
but for starters, you might want to turn off your virus scanner, (providing you know your files are safe) that may help. virus scanner can slow things down if they check file,... and maybe a couple of other heavy dutty startup programs you may have....
also a defrag... might help, since makes a little easier and faster for the system find space..
now i don't know which cf card you have and what it stats are........ however... like usb flash cards,cf come in different read and write speeds!!!!!!! ....can be as low as 2x or 3x to 300x ....
you might want to look at some of these cards, look at there stats for read write... if your able you might want to go to a faster card...
other possiblities but i don't know if it applie to your situation or valid alternative in you situation..
1. you can get real fast usb 2.0 flash drives...but they cost more...most at stores are only 1x or 2x and there cheap but the real fast one 30 or 40x are real fast and come in only large capacity drive.
2. use usb 3.0 flash drives there about 10 time faster than your usb 2.0 ....
3. or a sata module flash drive...providing you have sata connector.. they can be very fast.... |
