How do I make an image have a transparent background?
I have two cases in mind:
1) a new image I am creating from scratch
2) an existing image which has a non-transparent background
Does anyone know precisely how I can do this? I am new to Photoshop so explicit instructions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

When creating a new image select transparent from the background options. Existing images will need to have the background selected and deleted.
You'll need to save the images in the proper format to preserve transparency. It is supported in the gif and png formats. |
