Ok here's my dilemma.....
Half of my battle is I'm at work and I'm going off my photoshop memory, bare with me.
My print lab that I go through, to get my customers prints done, requests that all prints be sized to the size that the photo will be printed as. Example. If I want to print a 4x6 the lab requests I size the photo in photoshop to a 4x6 @ level 10JPEG and 300 Resolution. Regardless all photos will be level 10jpeg and 300 res. But my draw back is, is when I've done that in the past the end product comes out pixelated and fuzzy looking.
I will tell you my steps and if you catch a flaw please let me know, or if there is an easier or better way please let me know.
1. Open photo in Photoshop
2.click "Image" in top tool bar
3. click "Image Size"
4.change "pixels" to "inches" for both lenght and width
(here is where my memory begins to fade)
5. I beleive when I change the first inch increment the number of inches
below it automatically switch to it's needed adjusments.
6. I change the resolution to desired
7. click "ok"
8. Save as
etc.
If there is anyone who may help or have a suggestion please let me know! I need to do a big order and I would hate to have to go through my 2ndary lab just because I am ill educated. Thank you so much any help would be much appreciated! |
