The stroke blending effect in photoshop is very rounded. I want to create a sharp stroke effect like the image below.

hi,
not a expert on brushes...
first you have several brushes there avail so you might want to get one that square anot rounded...

also once you pick a brush you may need to modifyit attributes... suggest making a dup of the brush and then bring up the brush set windows or hit F5 , same thing ... and make adjustments...

one thing i noticed... is that when stroked if i picked center or outside... the corner seem to go at a angle not so much rounded where as if I pick inside nice sharp turns...

Ihope this helps... a couple of the other guys know about this than me

The only problem with doing inside strokes is that you lose a lot of the text area which doesn't always look great.

Anyway, I've settled for this since I can't figure it out, but it would still be good to know a way to do sharp edged strokes if I do another rendition of the logo.

*disregard* Already addressed above.

It was the point that 'inside' is the only way to produce sharp edges on a path that I know from within Photoshop. (there could be others?).

hi,
your question got me thinking myself about this....
Ithink part of the problems is that when stroking it tries to maintain the assigned width.. however the center and outside.. at the corner the width widens just a little to where you can see the pixalation but the stroke won't fill in the pixelation ... I hope i explained it right...grrr.. smiling... with that said...

so I went out on the net and the answers I did find were similar to what i mentioned... now i did find a couple of ideas but they appear to be a little complicated...

I came back and played around...
taking my cue and hints from the others...
came up with thisidea... far from perfect and i think it may not work in all cases or it too much trouble...

but i made my box path, then i dup and made my dup path larger and then on each path i did a inside stroke and a outside stroke... effectively fillin in the emptypspace between the two box paths... what the big hassle was , was trying to get a good specific enlargement...
oh well... iam worn out on this.. can't think anymore..
