I recently upgraded from CS2 to CS3 but, unless I am going round the twist, something has changed and I can't find a way of setting it as an option:

When you choose a selection tool, the selection tool bar shows the 'New Selection | Add to Selection | Delete from Selection | Intersect with Selection' tools.

This mode only changes for the current selection tool whereas I am pretty sure that in all previous versions, the mode change for all selection tools (which is what I want). It is really annoying... is there a way to make mode changes globally effect all selection tools?

Not that I know of, I'm not sure why you'd want to.
