|
|
I have done this before with no problem. Now, if I want to select an area with the magic wand, the magic wand icon disappears and there's a rectangle icon by the curser. At that point, the entire image is selected, not just the area I'd like. I've adjusted the tolerance to 70.
What is happening? I'm using photoshop CS2 with a mac. |

Susansem, "the magic wand icon disappears and there's a rectangle icon by the curser" is normal if you pointer is within the selection...which it is if the whole image is selected.
Have you looked to make sure you have CONTIGOUS and/or ALL LAYERS checked or unchecked depending on what you are trying to do?
If the color you are selecting is to similar, 70% might be to high and its selecting the whole image?
Can you post a screen shot

Clicking all layers worked, Lasa. Thanks. I've had this problem a lot. It's good to end the problems. |
