Well, wrong again. I find that there is no option to "save as" jpeg/jpg in most of the file types that I load.
Seriously, is there something that I am missing here in PhotoShop Elements 7 ? ...

I would suggest that you install the card that you were using and see if you are satisfied with it. Make your decision after you have worked with it for a while.
