All of a sudden whenever I try and save a jpeg image in photoshop, all of the menu items gray out, including the close X, so I can't exit the program or do anything. The file doesn't actually get saved. And I have to ctrl+alt+delete out of it. I can't think of any reason for why this started to happen |

Here's some more information.
When I open a jpeg image to edit and then go to Save As and save it as a jpeg, the X disappears and the menu items disappear and it appears frozen as I originally stated. However, if you press Alt + F4 everything comes back and you can continue to edit, but the image didn't get saved.
If you go to Save for Web you can save it as a JPEG just fine. |

Take a screenshot of what happens when you try to save as a jpeg. Save the screenshot (as a gif of course) and post it up here.
Have you tried alt + tabbing to see if Photoshop has other windows it wants you to pay attention to?
