Does the measurement scale show inches in height and width? And what are the measurement numbers when it is unchecked? PS help does not explain. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by unchecked, but if you go to Preferences-Units and Rulers you can select inches from the drop down list for rulers.

I am referring to the ruler tool that is found under analysis on top toolbar. The measurement scale appears with a check box and gives measurement in two different ways depending on whether the box is checked or not. does that help?
