Here's my problem: I have a photo of a bald man, shot in a studio, and the photographer used pretty heavy backlight causing blow-outs on the side of his bald head.
Something like this: http://www.undertheradarmag.com/news/dc_comics_red_trailer_released/
I was asked if I can "modify the lighting" getting rid of the blow outs. There is no data in the highlights, and it is a significant enough area that cloning or using a "darker color" brush won't work... especially since there is a bit of hair stubble, and in reality, a bit of a shading gradient would occur. You CAN, however see the hair stubble in the blowouts...
So, I'm wondering if there is a way to realistically add color in to the blow out area? |
