How can I do it so when I record an action, it doesn't take the size of the new file/canvas so literally.

The size is supposed to be the size of the image which is currently in clipboard.

Basically, I am doing:

* Select whole image
* Copy image to clipboard
* (and here I want to create a new file where I paste that image)

The problem is, the action records the size that was used while recording, so if I try to use the action again on a different image (with different size) it will still be using the size of the previous image.

Thanks!

If you create a new file you can choose "clipboard" from the preset menu.
