Sorry if this has been answered but am not sure how to word the problem to even look it up.

I have an A4 sized file and have created another file exactly the same size, but when I transfer images over from the first one they come up in the second one really tiny. To appear the same size on screen the first one is at 66% while the second is viewed at only 16%. I have checked both files and are set at 210 by 297 mm.

Am I over looking something really simple? Any help is greatly appreciated.

They need to be not only the same physical dimensions, but also the same resolution. Go to Image-Image Size to check the resolution of your pictures.
