Hi all, my question is regarding how I would go about getting an Abstract/colorful/rainbow type effect on an image in Photoshop. I've seen it a lot and it looks great. I'm sure a certain amount of color blending is necessary but it looks as if the Hue/Saturation/Luminance would play a big part in this type of effect as well?
Any information or leads on how to achieve this effect would be VERY much appreciated!!
Also, it may be worth noting that I use a Macbook Pro w/current running 10.8.3, using current version of Photoshop CS6 and also have a full 30 day trial of BOTH Lightroom 5 and the Topaz plugin bundle. If any of the effects I'm trying to do would be better suited using Lightroom or a Topaz plugin, I'd be grateful to know =).

Ok so I can't figure out how to attach am image on here but if you just go to FineArtAmerica dot Com and type in "Moose Drool" in the Search Bar you'll see it and what I'm referring to right away. =)

Moose drool is really just someone being creative with colors.
Probably the closest effect to that in Photoshop is something called a gradient map.
Image > Adjustments > Gradient Map
Select spectrums from the gradient types.
