I'm trying to make my own business cards and I'm seeing the color I want on my psd file but when I flatten and save it as a jpeg to send to my assistant it the color looks totally different and the detailed "inner shadow" doesn't show up on the fonts or edges. Am I doing something wrong. I wanted my assistant to pick out the one she liked and I gave her 3 options.

Are you saying that the image looks different on your computer or that it looks different once your assistant has received it?
If the case is the latter, it could be a monitor calibration issue or a color profile issue.
If the case is the former, make sure that you are using the highest quality setting when saving as a JPEG. In my copy of CS4, you simply pull a slider all the way up to 12 "maximum" to save your JPEG at the best possible quality. Also make sure that you flatten your image before saving - maybe the layer with the "inner shadow" (whatever that is) didn't get saved or something.

have you tried saving the file in .tiff format and then print it.

Blending modes and layer FX can cause problems when flattened depending on what is on the layers below that they are blending with. |

If you create a layer stamp that should avoid those issues.
I would imagine though that your problem is colour management. It's such a large issue to tackle though. Have you tagged the JPEG as convert to sRGB when saving?
