|
|
Hi,
When I put a stroke on my text in photoshop using Layer Styles, the outline of the stroke gets really bulgy instead of being a smooth round curve. Does anyone know a trick in photoshop to prevent that from happening?
Instead I now have to make my stroke effect on text in Illustrator and then paste the text as graphic into Photoshop again.
I have attached an illustration of the problem.
thanks

I forgot to say that it is noticable probably because its huge fonts on high resolution (300dpi). I mean, its not an issue if its only 72 dpi. |

I have the same problem, it just one of those things that are beyond Photoshops capabilities.
You can kind of workaround it by using selection methods and paths/stroke path but they all force the outline to be rasterized with means if you need to change any text it has to be redone from scratch.
Might have to stick to both Illustrator and Photoshop combination for the time being until adobe lifts their game (don't hold your breath).
Also if you do this kind of work often check out linked smart objects for Photoshop. These allow for changes made in Illustrator to be quickly updated inside your Photoshop project. |

Yes, I thought so.
I will look into linked smart objects. Sounds like it could indeed be very useful for me. Thanks for the tip. |
