|
|
I've done some homework with Photoshop but thats sadly it. Now I'm trying something and it won't work with me.
I try to combine 2 flags like these: http://postimage.org/image/za7wtam6z/
But with next 2 flags:
http://postimage.org/image/z35rwgy4p/
and
http://postimage.org/image/7zhgdaqlb/
It cost me lots of energie, mouses and keyboards and so far no luck at all. Photoshop does not what I ask for..............
If possible I would like to get the flags like they are waving in the wind but this is far to hard for me.
Anybody who can help me? I found tutorials all over the internet but I'm still swearing. Thanks for your help!

Yes, It's getting close but the flags I would like are flowing into eachother. It's like they are sewn on to eachother and then waving in the wind.
Thanks for your help so far

I haven't' watched the video (usually not a good start for giving advice) but is it the linear gradient? found under the gradients settings.

The guidelines I've placed aren't really necessary, they served more the purpose of showing how I aligned the flags to each other..
Those can be easily placed by dragging from the horizontal ruler to the place you want guidelines for horizontal and the same way with the vertical ruler for vertical guidelines.
Rulers can be shown and hidden with the shortcut Ctrl + R (CMD + R on Mac)
Guidelines can be shown and hidden with the shortcut Ctrl + ; (CMD + ; on Mac)
I'm sorry about making a how to on a wrong image, I've had seen the image only once and got working on it when I had more time hence not achieving the effect you were after, I'll post a vid on that asap..

It seems like I'm stuck on it, don't know how to fit the flags to the shape I created. If I increase the shape, the flags (added as a texture) just scale along and don't map out.
Here's what I did so someone with more experience on the 3D tools in photoshop might know what to do:
I created a separate file with the flags, next to each other and then I flipped them horizontally and put that next to the original, so wrapped around it would look as back and front.
I created in the 'working document' a S-shape figure with the pen-tool. Did a 3D extrusion from the shape and set the flags as texture for the extrusion. Turning around and all gave me the image posted in the screenshot, but for some reason I can't seem to get the flags fit the shape.. Anybody how can help me and there for also Elrosso out?
Grtz, R.
