i am trying to add a glow effect to the piece i am working on. when i add the effect to an object and the background is blank, i see the glow. when i turn the visibility on for the background (color white) the glow disappears.
before answering it may be important to know:
i just reinstalled my photoshop CS4 on my macbook OS=snow leopard |

It's my guess that when you turn on the background layer the glow is sitting behind it. I would move the glow layer above the background and see if it then shows. |

i def made sure that the layers were in the correct order lol...the glow is only visable when all layers behind the object are invisable |

Change the background colour to black - do you see the effect? _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
