When I'm working on an image in CS6, usually the border around the photo that I'm working on in Photoshop is a very dark grey color. At times, I will be working along, and suddenly notice that my border has changed to white. One time I remember it turning to the way it looks when you erase the entire background from an image. It isn't causing any trouble, but I'm just curious why this happens. I'm usually so intent on working with an image that by the time I notice that it has changed, I've forgotten what I was doing when it did so.

Also, sometimes when I'm replacing the sky on a photo, as I'm placing the new image on top of the photo I'm working on, the entire screen will go to dark grey. I know that I can move the image I just placed just a tiny bit and the image will return. Just curious what is happening

One other thing that I don't understand. Quite often when I am working on an image, usually with a large paint brush, the entire image I am working on will flash to black and then back to normal as I am passing the brush over the image, this is without even pressing the mouse button. It will flash to black and just as quickly flash back to the normal image. I can run the brush over it several more times and the image stays there, but eventually if I pass over the image enough times, usually less than 10, it will flash to black again. Any Clues:-?

Not sure about either of your problems and I don't have CS6.
Posting screenshots of issues always helps people here narrow them down.
