Hi,

I'm new here after attempting to achieve an effect using tutorials with no success.

I have a placed logo and placed background image. I'm trying to create a woodburnt logo effect. However, I'm not getting this effect after following tutorials. I tried this one (http://www.visualswirl.com/tutorials/tutorial-burnt-wood-text-effect-photoshop/) and this one (http://www.kiwireviews.co.nz/files/PST-07.pdf), but the Color Burn step doesn't create anything darker. Just brighter colored. Maybe that means my background is too light, but there must be some way to get a darker burnt look on light wood.

Does anyone know of any other way to achieve a wood burnt logo effect? Thanks![/list]
