Hi, I was trying to replace one person in a picture with another person from another picture. But when I do it and when the size and all looks good, the only thing that doesn't look good and the photo looks fake are colors. I don't know how to make it more real, aka how to change person's face color (tone) so it fits in that photo. So it would be great if someone could help me and tell me how can I change it or give me a link to a good tutorial. i tried to find one, and I tried following those steps but still the persons face looks brighter or darker than other people's faces in the photo. |

If the person looks brighter/darker then use a brightness/contrast adjustment. If the colors don't match use a color balance adjustment. Or use both. It all depends on the composition. There are also levels, hue/saturation, vibrance etc. which you can use to optimize your compositions.
Good luck. |

Here is what I often do:
Make selection of the "donor" face. Hide the selection(Ctrl-h)
Go to Red channel and start Levels. Move the sliders untill the donor face looks seamless with adjacent areas, matches and continues their tones.
Go to other channels and do the same thing.
Then goes healing, patching, stamping, etc
P.S. Keep in mind that sometimes it's easier to go the other way and change the surroundings |
