Hey guys, I am working on some art, and I have a picture that I want to recolor. It is a brown monkey, and i want to change its colors to something else. but keep around the same scheme of colors.

I attached a
(very zoomed in) pic of the monkeys body and arm. If you notice the arms brown slightly changes color, I want to change the base of the monkey's color to yellow, so the other part where the lighter brown is would get lighter as well, scaling with the yellow..

Does that make any sense? ANY help is greatly appreciated:)

There are quite a few options for that.
You could do it the easiest way: Image -> Image Adjustments -> Hue and Saturation.
Otherwise, you'd end up with color balance, gradient maps and that kind of stuff.
If you just 'want the job done' instead of want to learn how to do it, I'm willing to do it.
Little thing you should know, you can also change the color of the bear without changing the color around it, by using a Color Adjustment Layer instead of just the effect and then masking it out.
