So I really like the work of a photographer/editor named Josh Rossi. I've been working on trying to achieve a very similar style to what he is doing, but I'm struggling. It's also hard to search online since I'm not sure how to describe the style??
Does anyone know if this style has a name? Or how one might go about manipulating a photo to have this surreal look?

Hey Knawx,
If i had to give a name to these types of images I would call them cinematic. Someone else here might know a more accurate name for them.
I'm not sure exactly what his work precess is but I can tell a few things about them.
The man, the money, the tub behind him and the two chemical drums are all separate images from the background and have been place on top.
HDR techniques is used.
He has the whole cinematic/dramatic portrait look going on with all the people and lighting in his pictures.
This guy obviously lives and breathes Photoshop so it going to be hard to emulate his look without lots of trial and error.
I would attempt to master the individual components before trying to merge them all together. |
