I have been doing photography for several years but have not been using photoshop for post production.I did however purchase 6.0 about 10 years ago. i know there have been many changes in digital photography since then so im wondering if what i have is to outdated.Im only looking to adjust such things as skin tones for portraits etc.. exposure differences in sky and ground, all pretty much basic stuff.so any thoughts if i should upgrade and why, thanks |

Stick with what you have. In time you may wish to upgrade, but for what you want it is not necessary. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Like thehermit says, the basics have remained the same. Stick to it, and if you feel you need a bit more, try downloading a trial version of both Photoshop and Photoshop Lightroom before spending any money. Both are available for a one month free trial from the Adobe Website.
Hope that helps
