Create a new layer and use a gradient fill (there is uncannily one that goes from orange to yellow to orange by default) and then set the blend mode of the layer to colour or to suit.

Fill the background layer with the color you want. Set the layer(s) of the photos to soft light. Finally you can add the linear gradients on the sides on a new layer (above all the other layers).
