When one decides to edit a photograph what do people use as a rule of thumb to know what to do 1st.
Assuming one will change contrast, do something to the color, enlarge a photo, use onOne software to create a frame, delete a wire etc.
What is usually best to do 1st, 2nd, 3d etc.


In looking at the dif't forum topics it appears that my question doesn't really fit anywhere. I'm hoping this is the best choice.

Probably best to start on the bigger problems then work your way down to the smaller ones.

Using the examples you have used. If the the whole photo was dull and needed more colour and greater contrast then you would do this before you attempt to delete that wire.
