i don't know why, but when i try to type white letters they show up light pink. ???
thanks, boyd.
PS: i open the square at the lower left and choose white, but then the square is light pink.

hi,
what you might do....
1. when you select your type tool
2. look at the top bar... there will be a little box (color varies) it called "set the text color" click on that and select your color ..... you get the color you want for sure...
note: generally click the forground/background , default and set up the forground color for white, in your case, should give the same thing but sometimes it doesn't depends on other settings...

Hi, Jer. Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of the box at the top, and I opened it and made sure it was white, as well as the one in the background/foreground color. This has me baffled. I appreciate your help. I hope someone has an idea what setting could be causing this.

hi,
i have been trying to reproduce what your seeing...
i can only think that maybe a little glitch or sequence on the color use maybe why or maybe there blending mode involve i am not aware of...
try this goahead and type in your color and the mark the text and then at the top choose white and see what happens...
if still a issue... not sure what i would see..
attach a screen captru of your ps, ...so i can see the layer pallet and che color pallets while you have the text tools choosen.... . you may need to resize it, there a 200k limitation on upload file size

When the mask channel of a layer is set to visible it appears as light pink.
