I'm trying to duplicate the following idea of placing a logo onto a golf ball but maintaining the dimples. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

Thanks Lee but I loose the color of the logo if I lower the opacity. I've tried every Blending effect with no luck. I've tried selecting a piece of the golf ball with dimples and layered it on top of the logo, then tried some blending effects and filters but still no luck.

hi,
have you tried the displacement map technique....?
although i think you may need to add more shadow to the dimples

Why! It's called "sandwich" technique :
Copy the background layer, place it over the logo layer, clip it to logo layer, Desaturate and change the Blend mode to Luminosity, Linear Light or some other.
And, in your case displacement map would sure do a great job and is worth a try.

I think that even if a displacement map is used, you are going to have to make a copy of the golf ball layer and put it on top of the logo layer because the displacement map will provide a very subtle effect, too subtle I think
