|
|
I want to recreate an effect on a certain image, but despite many attempts I haven't yet found how to do so.
I have uploaded the image on Postimage.org
This is the desired effect:

This is the original image:

And this is my image:
http://postimage.org/image/vw8p89dwn/
Now, the effect for the first image was done just by using "gamma correct" on Photofiltre. So I tried that for my image... no succes. Then I tried out several things on both Photoshop CS5 and Photofiltre, also without succes.
I am new to photo manipulation and photo editing, so I'd certainly appreciate your advice: how can I achieve this ?

In Photoshop try the menu option... 'Image > Adjustments > Exposure'
Increase the gamma correction to get the grit. Yours turned out blue.

hi Auieos
now that was interesting, been trying all sort of other ways to get that noise to show or recreate it someway...lol ...didn't think about the exposure.....
taking your suggestion the first thing i did was curve adjustment and that brought out some more noise..... and after that played around with the sat and hues...
after that just playing around on how they got the different colors...
and it sort of looks like thay put a blank layer under the main layer and then painted the color of what they wanted.. ( i experiementing with just fill and masking off) and then with the main layer cycle thru the blending modes... there 2 or 3 that came close

Hey Jerry,
Yeah it is hidden away in the menus. Its an interesting effect, will have to try and remember it for future projects.
Definitely needs to be worked on like you have said, a bit harsh by itself.

hi aueios,
i have played around with it before but didn't ever looked if you did a extreme exposure with it... and since then been looking at others.. besides what i have mentioned before went and looked at the blue channel i duped and did a extreme curve on it... got the same results... only everything in black and white... of course.. but i was able to get the noise to show...
