Hello.
Hope someone might be able to point me in the right direction...
I help run a football (soccer) club for children whose parents are in the British Forces, posted out in Germany.
I'm wanting to create a template for pictures of the players which has a nice border and which can hold a bit of information about the player. The background will be an action shot of the child.
I've found an example of what I want (which will hopefully make more sense!) from a player photo from the football team I follow.
The border/shape has curved edges and it's main area has the club badge, players details (D.O.B. birthplace, playing position, name and squad number)
I'm evolving my photography but my photoshop skills leave a lot to be desired!
Any comments, help, pointing in the right direction - would be appreciated as this really would make the kids look really professional on my images for their website.
We don't get a high turn round in cash but if someone can sort me out a template I can easily use and adapt for landscape and portrait looking similar to the layout above, I'll ry and get a little something together.

What resolution do you want the final result? I would be glad to help. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Wonderful! Thanks!
I take my pictures for the team in RAW + Jpg fine, so they're in high resolution to start with and get reduced from their.
Not sure what would work best...
Be nice to have a hi and low res version...maybe something that could be nicely printed off to poster(ish) size (A4 or slightly bigger?) that could be put up above their lockers in the changing room or and then something lower that could be on the player profile pages of the website.
Hope that helps! |

Will do a 300ppi and a 72ppi and trust that you can resize to other if needed.
I and I presume you would welcome others input on this too. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Sorry it took a little while, had a touch of work to get through before doing it. Here's a low res preview, do you have Photoshop? If so I can upload the PSD so you can make changes as you see fit, otherwise I am not sure how you will edit the text/logo.
I will post a link to my Dropbox via PM when you agree on the design. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Jolly Good, I shall PM you the link to my Dropbox.
Just before I do send, is the boxout too large? I can scale down if required. Will send file link anyway but it just occurred to me that it looks a little large, scale-wise _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Hi Mike
Thanks for the link, downloaded ok.
The box may look better scaling down and the only suggestion for tinkering I have would be the transition from wide part of the box (where the logo is) to thiner (where the name is)
Would it be possible to shrink it down with a diagonal line like in the image nicked from Sheffield Wednesday above? (line added to image below)
They're only cosmetic things though, nitpicking really, that are not really important, I really am chuffed at the work you've done!
