hi,
well there a couple I am thinking about getting...
1. focus magic-- from samples it appears does a very good job in sharpening... i looked at topaz plugin but they don't appear to do as good...
2. I am intrique with topaz remask, that a selection plugin.... there are times that my other techniques like , quick select and refine edge, or color range or other tools and techniques don't work as well and i am thinking this would be a nice additional tool to use... |

focus magic seems interesting except when I tried the trial version, it wasn't that effective. |

Portraiture seems to be in vogue and most retouchers I know have a copy even if they don't utilise it much/at all. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

hi netaddict,
so focus magix didn't work too well for you....mmm may have to rethink that one smile....
now adobe been working on a R&D sharpening program and from the live video I saw,, it blows away anything that curren it really great.... I would really like have that one.. however don't know which of the next versions of ps it will be in.. maybe cs6 but it won't be enough by itself to want me to upgrade my cs5 ....lol ...
The hermit post about portrait... I like that one but i don't do enough stuff like that... |

hi again,
a couple of other programs ....
1. redynamix , this one ilike and use... a plugin.. it simulates single HDR ...
it good and plus it inexpensive only about 16 bucks... I use it more than the hdr toning in cs5 .... in fact i think the hdr toning in cs5 is sort of cumbersom... the only problem i have with redynamix is that it currently only for 32 bit ps ... so when i need to use it i have to switch from 64 bit ps to 32 bit ps ... so i am anxious for them to come out with 64 bit version...

2. shape collage... it not a plug in but a stand alone.... if you do alot of shape collages this is a good program the free version is sort of limited but the pro version you have more features like exporting psd format with layers.....
