Hello all, I need some help. I am doing a project for school and I am running into trouble with cleaning up or refining my edges of a selection. I am using the direct selection tool to move a rounded square object from its background. Now, when I move it over to a new document the edges are a little messy and jagged. We went over on how to refine the edges in class, but when I try to do it nothing changes and the image is the same. I am using the refine mask option and using the refine radius tool but it isn't working. Can anyone help me with this? I have no idea what else to do. Maybe a different way I can clean up my selections?

Thank you very much. I figured out that I needed to use the refine edges tool BEFORE I moved the image into a new document. Once I figured that out it was cake. Thank you for the Tut.

Thank you. I have uploaded it to the design/feedback threads if you would like to take a look at it.
