hi,
really not sure exactly shape you want , your talking about the overall shape or are you talking about that main part that lookslike a banner ..

if it the main part, differrent ways to do that...
1. open your image
2. take your magic wand at a good tolorance and click the inside
3. at this pint you should see the dancing ant (your dotted slections) lines) outline the shape
4. then add a new blank layer , at this point you will see the dancing ants
5. pick your color
6. then go to edit>stroke and in the next window pick your brush thickness and click ok

now you have just the banner outline ... i hope that what you wanted..

note : once you have a good clean outline... , just a idea turn that into a brush or shape .. that way you always have it avail and usefull in other ways

i hope that what you wanted...
now there maybe brushes and shapes... but it would take a lot of searching to try to find exactly what you looking for..

also using the magic want to make the outline... you could also use the pin tool or any other selection tool to get that out line ... many ways...

hi,
been thinking about possiblities.....

one problem i have with this image is that it edges are not nice and clean...

there blurry , uneven edges... difficult make a nice clean duplicate.

ican make a nice outline and convert that to a path ... where you can then be able to enlarge and then do a stroke however the edges are not clean

may have to rebuild the major portion of it....
for example.... the banner part

draw nice rectangle box
then draw two dotted line for the top and bottom of the box and move them in place...
note: the dotted line... use the square brush and set spacing that will give you dotted line ...

now thetop and and bottom flourishes unless your good making those probably copy and paste..

now at this point... now at this point maybe merge the layers into one... and then apply the warptool to distort the image where it looks curve and also on the end.....

maybe some one else has better ideas.... definitely there people better than me...... but those are my thoughts
