|

Hi guys, yes I'm new on here but please don't use that as a reason not to help. I've searched this forum and others as well as the web generally in my attempt to find photoshop courses in the UK but haven't yet found what I'm looking for and would really appreciate some help from anyone willing.
I'm an amateur photographer in my free time which has led me to start using photoshop for editing purposes. I've been doing this for a while now and have a basic knowledge of the program in this area. However, I'd like to take this further as I have developed a real interest and would eventually like to build some kind of career around it.
Basically I'm looking for face-to-face courses in PS based in the London-Brighton area of the UK. I would hope to take a beginner/intermediate course and develop from there through more and more advanced courses. I've managed to find plenty of courses but they all appear to be of a 2 day duration which doesn't sound much and I'm really not sure who to trust.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction or simply in the direction of professionals in this area whom I could talk to about courses available and also about the many various aspects of PS as I'm not even completely aware of what directions/areas I could go into and work towards. Information about seminars etc would also be of interest.
Cheers guys....I really could do with some help and would very much appreciate any time you could spare |

Hit the newsstand. Photoshop and photography magazines regional to you will always have workshops and such that you can attend live and get personal instruction, not to mention meet up with others pursuing the same interests. _________________ twitter @4DragonsMedia |

Good idea mate....thanks for that....something I honestly hadn't thought about which sounds a bit daft I guess. Thanks very much.
Any other specific advice in the meantime from anyone else would really be appreciated. Cheers |

I'd track down local your local further education colleges. There's bound to be something available, especially in London.
Another, possibly cheaper and more fun way to learn, is through photography clubs. My local one does (or did) lots of workshops from beginner to advanced. Sometimes they had 'specials' when someone prominent in a certain aspect of PS would do a talk and/or demo. |
