What is the difference with creating a logo in photoshop and illustrator (I assume illustrator is the one that provides a EPS version). The reason why I ask is because I want to design logos and other things and I'm planning to buy photoshop but I'm not sure if it's sufficient for logo design.
I noticed that a lot of people ask for EPS version, is it because no matter what size the logo is in EPS if you stretch it it still looks good? Sorry I'm unclear.
And, if I had money only for one of those software, which would be best to get to design logo and other things?
Thanks in advance!! |

Best to have both.
If you are serious about logos design then Illustrator is more important.
It is vector based (vector shapes and objects are drawn using points based upon math) hence why when its stretched to larger sizes it still looks good.
If you have the money only for one then it is more important to get Illustrator. |

Ok. Thank you for the link and for responding.
I suppose illustrator can also create jpg, png and gif files too? |
