Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, the forum looks cool and full of skilled/helpful people so I'd love your advice. I need to make a tree grow through a wooden floor, I've attached an example.
I tried to select and copy bit of the floor then transform them. Then I deleted the edges of it using a brush I made and added a little drop shadow but I couldn't get what I wanted. I've been trying to do this for ages.

Hi Callum and welcome to the forum. I suppose the success of your image will come down to how good your source photos are, bear in mind the angles of the images and how you are going to composite them. I would say build up a folder of images and then sift through them to find the ideal image.
