|
|
I was wondering, i'm sure there is a way in PS to do this.....
I have 2 pictures, one with the color damaged by the sun (several years framed on a wall)
The other, almost identical but with the colors intact.
Is there a way or a tool i can use to restore the sun damaged colors using that other picture colors ?
Thank you.

Try using 'Image - Adjustments - Match Color' with both images open in photoshop at the same time.
Select the colored one as the source.

Thank you but i was thinking of a much more easy and precise tool than this one. I tried it, but it's very approximate.

Scan the pic and put it on here it's hard to guess what you need without seeing it?

Here they are.
I thought there might be some trick that could be used, like to take a particular photo tint globally and apply it to a similar photo.
Thank you.

Hi
So many things used to do this there is rarely a do it all tool in PS, obviously not perfect but better it would take me longer to list the tools used than it did to restore the pic...
You tend to go back and forth adding a little then subtracting something else and you end up getting lost on all the steps you take!

hum, so, by lookig at your results there is no way i will achieve the exact same colors as the original.
I guess i will just minimise the problem by just working on the priest who is mainly in black and then add him to the already good picture since the 2 other peoples are posing in the almost exact same manner. I will just have to add the missing elements at the left. So it will be like adding someone on an existing picture, except that i will have to recreate some elements and re-crop. What do you think ?

Yep I thought of cutting the priest out as being the best option but I thought as they were so alike you wanted both however slightly different they are!

Exactly !!!
Working on the priest alone is definitely what i am going to do.
I will post the final result.
Thank you.
