Hey all, I'm not sure if this will make any sense, or if any of you out there have encountered the same problem. This may not even be a photoshop related question in the end.
Some of my clients projects require me to use many different fonts. So naturally I go to google and search for freefonts. After downloading the ones I want, and getting permission from the author. I load them into the font section of the control panel, and go into my CS4.
I usually work at 300dpi, and when I use the text tool, I've noticed sometimes the fonts are altered. They look "smooshed" or sometimes have lines and scratches and spots shooting out of them. am I missing something here? or are these types of fonts encrypted to do this to prevent downloading?
