I am not sure if this is where I post this question because I am new to forum. Can someone show me how to get rid of the white box around my logo (attached)? Thanks

Hi mjanke and welcome to the forum.
There are a few ways to remove the white. As your logo figure has white in it already I would use a simple magic wand or perhaps easier still, the quick selection tool and refine with a defringe command if needed.
