Sorry but can somebody tell me how to rotate a part of image - layer with a mask. I use marquee selection and I have linked mask to layer but when I rotate either the layer or the mask moves separately. Not together. |

Use transform to rotate the layer (ctrl+t), if they are linked they will rotate together. |

doesn't work for me! I use marquee for selection of little part of image. Then transform->rotate. all Linked. Mask doesn't rotate just layer |

Are you highlighting the layer, or the mask? Once the layer with the mask is highlighted, click on the box for the mask to select it....then try making your adjustment. _________________ http://www.jmerrittphotorestoration.com/ |

yes I do. But it is selection problem.
Someone told me that selection is made just in the mask not in the layer and therefor it is not posible to make transforms with selection both in layer and in mask simultaneously |

Maybe I have solution how to solve this:
1) save, close, open file
2) select part of my image
3) transform whole layer with mask
4) selection
5) select mask
6) history brush all around the selection in mask (restoring data)
7) repair/redraw the part of mask, where transformed mask was originally. So is there was e.g. a white letter "A" so now we need to have there white (is we moved the A letter away). Or if we made a rotation, so we redraw just the part which is in selection.
Is that clear or should I send a link to image?
Update:
One more problem is with history brush in mask not working. I can get history in layer not in mask. Solution? I better create new topic.
You can see how I use it here (there are images)
