Does anybody have an opinion on one or the other? For basic, non-professional pictures, which is better? Photoshop or lightroom? |

Welcome to the forum goldeneye2992. I'm fairly biased on a program and as you have joined PhotoshopForums.com you can guess my answer.
I come from a retouching background rather than photography per se, it seems most photographers prefer Lightroom and most old school (pre digital) photographers and retouchers prefer Photoshop.
Lightroom will do a lot of the daily grind and horse work of correcting your photographs. If you want to edit images that are not photographs you will definitely want Photoshop, if you want Photoshop Lite to correct photos then go with Lightroom, obviously cost will come into the equation.
Both programs are available as trial downloads if you go to www.adobe.com and follow the links. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
