Anyone struggling thru this book as I am?
I am a new PS student and am having trouble in the first chapter.
How do you copy and paste from Bridge to PS. I can edit>copy from Bridge, but in PS, as the illustration in the book suggests, the paste function is greyed out.
What gives? _________________ Donald Stock |

Copy in Bridge is generally used to move an image or images to another folder not to paste in PS.
Double click, or File|Open, or Ctrl+O opens the image in PS.
Are you sure you're reading it right? |

Hey there. Thanks for picking up the book.
The Copy/Paste is not done in Bridge (actually nothing in the book uses Bridge). If copy/paste is grayed out, make sure you go to your layers palette and you have a layer selected (clicked on). Also make sure it's a regular layer (not a type layer, adjustment layer). Also, sometimes it helps depending on what tutorial you're talking about, to have a selection active. So make sure you see the marching ants and that you've got a layer selected in the Layers palette.
Hope this helps.
