Hey all,

In addition to running this community, I am also an author and speaker and I speak at a bunch of events. For this sort of thing, I often need a head shot and so, I am working on readying a new one.

I have one that I like, but thought I'd post here for help putting the final touches on it and doing that post-processing stuff.

If you have a moment and are skilled in this area, I'd definitely appreciate your time and assistance.

The photo is very large and I'd like to maintain the quality, so rather than attaching, you can find it here: http://www.ifroggy.com/temp/DSC_4525.jpg

(The photo will be cropped, but I can take care of that. :))

I appreciate your time.

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

I just played around with this quickly. I was thinking that for a bio photo it might get reduced quite a bit. This is all I did to it:

duped layer 1: hard light-40% opacity to eliminate outdoor softness, and to return some stark shadowing.

duped layer 2: lighting effects: default, narrow: 69 negative: 35, then erased with different opacities to enhance left side shadows.

color overlay: yellow fill: 14% opacity: 13% just a bit to lighten some of the reds and blues and pop skin tones.

BTW, this is a very nice forum.

Hey Jeff and Lee,

Thanks so much for replying. I really appreciate it. Thanks for the kind words, as well, Jeff. Very glad to hear that! :)

Would you be able to send me the finished works in the original size via e-mail? My e-mail is patrick@ifroggy.com. This photo isn't just for the web, but conferences often ask for large, large versions for print, as well, so I need the area around the head to be big enough for that. So, the original size would be great.

Thanks again for your help!

Patrick
