Hi I'm new here obviously and I just wanted to know how I can make a blood splatter blush have a glossy look. Right now they're just plain and flat. I've searched for this topic but couldn't find anything on it. Thank you |

You can use embossing to accomplish a basic effect. Then from there, make a select of the spatter, and modify and contract the selection by 10 pixels or so. Then paint brush with a white color the light source you want within the selection, and color dodge the effect and low the transparency until you get the desired effect.
Then do another white paint brush to go over and add full shine to it manually, by dotting white spots where you think it should reflect.
I did this and ended up with this result:
